“Quiet design, thoughtfully composed”

This former council flat was reimagined as a warm and contemporary first home, working within a carefully managed budget. Its compact proportions required a creative approach to planning, ensuring every area supported daily life without feeling crowded. Abundant natural light is softened by sheer linen curtains, while ivory walls, warm oak, dark walnut and muted olive accents create an airy, comfortable and welcoming atmosphere.

Rather than relying on extensive bespoke joinery, the interior was composed using thoughtfully sourced furniture and adaptable pieces selected for their scale, function and visual cohesion. A dining banquette accommodates meals, work and conversation, while open shelving provides practical storage without adding visual weight. Streamlined kitchen cabinetry, discreet bedroom storage and a pared-back bathroom continue the same restrained language. The result is an affordable yet refined first home where simplicity, comfort and thoughtful use of space come together naturally.
