Juniper House needed to accommodate the changing rhythm of the day, from casual meetings and relaxed dining to evening drinks. High ceilings and generous glazing gave the interior an appealing openness, although the large volume offered little natural intimacy. Establishing comfortable settings for different types of visit meant introducing definition while protecting daylight, clear circulation and a strong connection to the bar.

Full-height timber lattice screens divide the room into smaller areas, allowing views and light to pass between them. We paired these with bespoke high-backed booths and a long curved bar, creating a range of places to gather or settle more quietly. Slatted joinery, herringbone flooring and pale surfaces provide continuity, enriched by olive striped upholstery, leather and polished tubular metal chairs. Patterned rugs and planting bring a familiar warmth to the seating groups. Overhead, large paper lanterns soften the scale, while pleated table lamps and concealed counter lighting establish a gentler evening mood. The interior retains its generous character, with carefully placed furniture and joinery making that openness feel comfortable, varied and sociable.
