“A study in atmosphere and evening elegance”
Nerina was conceived as an elegant restaurant where a memorable dining experience would be matched by the warmth and comfort that encourage guests to linger. A lively central bar would anchor the interior, with more intimate dining arranged around it. Working within a deep space punctuated by columns required careful attention to the connections between seating areas, particularly with a dark palette that could easily become enclosing. Creating a sense of occasion depended on balancing the drama of the wider room with a comfortable scale at each table.
Continuous burgundy banquettes, reflective wall panels and a canopy of sculptural fabric lanterns bring the spaces together. We wrapped the bespoke counters in horizontally veined stone, introducing brass detailing and illuminated glass shelving to give the bar a refined presence. Dark timber flooring and black upholstered chairs ground the interior, while white table linen and softly glowing pendants introduce lightness. Rounded mirrors extend views and reflect the activity of the room, complemented by discreet integrated lighting and small table lamps. The resulting restaurant feels rich and atmospheric, with tailored furniture and layered light creating intimacy within a generous social setting.

Bespoke fabric lanterns in varied sculptural forms create a soft canopy above the dining room. Their gently diffused light brings warmth to the dark interior, while slender brass detailing connects the fixtures to the wider material palette.
Reception
The bespoke bar and reception counter are wrapped in horizontally veined stone, with brass trims and illuminated plinths lending a sense of lightness to their substantial forms. Glass shelving and fine brass supports give the bar a refined backdrop, creating a cohesive setting for arrival and service.
